This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with children who wants to develop their skills in a specialist education and SEND environment. About the Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff across a range of classes. You will support pupils with additional needs, helping them engage with learning, build confidence, and become more independent.

Your responsibilities will include:

Helping children with SEND access learning and participate in classroom activities.
Supporting teachers with engaging, accessible and inclusive lessons.
Encouraging pupils to build confidence, independence and positive relationships.
Creating a calm, safe and encouraging learning environment.
Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and educational development.
Observing pupils and sharing relevant feedback with teachers and other staff.
Working as part of a close-knit team to ensure pupils receive consistent and effective support. What We're Looking For

You Will Need:

At least 3 months' experience working with children in the UK - essential.
Previous experience in a school, nursery, childcare, tutoring, youth work or SEND setting is desirable.
A genuine interest in working with children with SEND.
A patient, positive and supportive approach.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.
The ability to commute to Abbots Langley or live locally. Why Consider This Opportunity?

You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced education professionals, develop your understanding of SEND, and play an important role in helping pupils overcome challenges, enjoy learning, and reach their potential.

If you have experience working with children in the UK and are ready to take the next step towards a rewarding career in education, we would love to hear from you.
