MPI have a requirement for a UAS Pilot to work in a permanent role on site in Leicester.
Rate of pay is dependent on experience and will be discussed on application.
Working Pattern: 5 day week, 37 hours a week
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly capable UAS Pilot to support the delivery of complex uncrewed aircraft operations across a variety of aviation environments.
This is a key operational role responsible for conducting safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations while supporting the continued growth of our UAS capability. You will play an integral part in mission delivery, ensuring the highest standards of safety, professionalism and operational excellence are maintained while working closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and industry partners.
This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced UAS professional who combines strong flight operations expertise with a proactive approach to problem solving and a passion for advancing the future of uncrewed aviation.
Knowledge:
Good understanding of UK aviation regulations, UAS operations, airspace requirements, and aviation safety principles.
Knowledge of Safety Management Systems (SMS), operational risk management, and compliance within regulated environments.
Understanding of meteorology, flight planning, and operational decision-making.
Awareness of emerging UAS technologies, BVLOS operations, and wider developments within the uncrewed aviation sector.
Qualifications & Desirable Experience:
Relevant UAS pilot qualifications and operational flying experience.
Experience operating UAS within regulated or safety-critical environments.
A1/A3 and/or A2 Certificate of Competency.
Manned aviation qualifications, Flight Radiotelephony Operator's Licence, or military aviation experience would be advantageous.
Experience operating MUAS, MALE, or comparable UAS platforms is desirable.
Eligible to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.
