Operations Administrator 
Manchester City Centre 
£14.53/hour 
Temporary (with potential for permanent opportunity)
Office Based, with probable Hybrid working. 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and proactive Administrator to join an established and distinguished department in one of Manchester’s premier educational institutions. 

Job Overview: 
•    To assist and support the Director, Deputy Director and other team members in activities, processes and initiatives that contribute to the efficient functioning and high-performance culture of the department.
•    To assist and support the organisation and administration of the department’s annual flagship competitions, events, and award ceremonies.
•    To take responsibility for the operational support functions and administration of department activities.

Role Specifics: 
•    To coordinate and act as a point of reference for internal and external enquiries, including monitoring of social media messages.
•    To monitor the shared email inbox, cascading enquiries to relevant team members as appropriate.
•    To liaise with students, graduates and staff interested in entrepreneurship across the University.
•    To maintain and update system records with appropriate reference to current data protection legislation and provide reports.
•    To assist with the planning, organisation, and delivery of events. 
•    To deliver excellent customer service to students, startups, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:  
•    Experience of working with administrative processes in a Higher Education setting 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to deal with a wide range of people.
•    Flexible and responsive to customer needs and able to provide information and guidance, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
•    Demonstrate an ability to be creative and solve problems, with experience of contributing to the development and improvement of programmes, policies, and processes.
•    Accurate, methodical, and able to work to short timescales/deadlines.
•    Experience of utilising different platforms, software packages, databases, and electronic systems to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
