Position: UK Sales Manager
Location: Kent - On site 5 days per week.
Reports to: Managing Director

Objectives of the Role:

* Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth, optimizing current and improved operating capabilities.

* Assess and implement improved processes, including innovative technologies, collaborating with team members and implementing improvements.

* Enforce compliance with up-to-date legislation and take action when necessary.

* Collaborate with key management to compile budgets/targets and employ cost-efficient strategies.

* Drive business growth through new business and existing customer account management. Liaise with customers on their current and future requirements to ensure maximum potential growth.

* Oversee and analyze internal sales, identifying areas for improvement.

* Develop actionable sales strategies and plans aligned with short-term and long-term objectives.

* Monitor operational performance and establish corrective measures as needed.

* Report on current and forecasted sales and marketing KPIs/Budgets.

* Provide technical knowledge and professional advice to customers and sales team members.

* Increase customer spend through existing business and new business growth.

* Manage and enable all team members to exceed targets.

* Recruit, manage, train, and develop members of the sales team, ensuring clear objectives and goals are met. Support the leadership of the Directors and work in partnership to bring the best leadership forward.

* Ensure effective recruitment, ongoing development, performance management, and staff retention.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

* Oversee and analyze internal sales, identifying areas for improvement.

* Ensure all targets are met or exceeded.

* Develop actionable sales strategies and plans aligned with business objectives.

* Monitor operational performance and establish corrective measures as needed.

* Report on sales and marketing KPIs/Budgets.

* Empower the team with the leadership and resources required to succeed.

* Represent the company professionally and positively.

* Measure and report on operational performance, developing plans to improve KPIs.

* Provide technical knowledge and professional advice to customers and sales team members.

* Increase customer spend through business growth.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

Sales experience and/or customer service experience within a technical industry.

Excellent IT skills (including PowerPoint).

Passionate about Science and Technology.

Good communication skills.

Good organizational skills.

Desirable:

Proven record of success in sales.

Previous experience within the field.

Knowledge of SAP (Training will be provided).
