UI Developer

London (Hybrid) 2 days in office

6 months

£480-£525 per day (Inside Umbrella)

The role holder will develop quality and high-performing software, complete development work within time, budget and standards and be able to cater to front, middle and back-office requirements through a sound understanding of the energy trading lifecycle whist championing Agile and DevOps delivery methodology.

The role:

Take a leading role in the design and development of Risk and Valuation systems
Develop and maintain a strong relationship with business owners
Undertake development work to ensure design principles are adhered to and components are refactored wherever possible
Ensure technical requirements are clear, aligned, testable, accurate and maintained
Complete development deliverables in a timely manner and to the appropriate level of quality so the delivered solutions are fit-for purpose, can be efficiently supported and the impact of future change requests can be assessed
Follow all change control procedures and puts in place full version control and configuration management to ensure that the production service is not compromised
Follow the procedures for reporting on the progress of systems development projects, taking action to deal with exceptions, problems and unforeseen events in a timely manner, escalating as appropriate
Ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures, including security policies
Contribute to retrospectives to incorporate learnings into future work
Maintain an understanding of relevant industry trends and current knowledge of the technology deployed in the business area.Skills Required:

Strong development experience in developing enterprise applications using .Net tools (C#) and SQL

Excellent experience in creating and working with APIs
React
Financials Services Background
Svelte
Experience of working as a Developer within banking, financial services or another commodity trading business.
Deployment experience using Docker or Kubernetes
Knowledge of Azure cloud development and Azure Databricks
Experience working with Javascript / Angular / React
Demonstrate high quality design and development to large, distributed platforms applying modern architectural best practice
Highly motived and detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to perform various phases of SDLC where essential - analysis, coding, review, testing, documentation, implementation and release management
Can demonstrate development within a devops environment and explain the approach taken and how it was appropriate to that situation
Willingness to explore new languages, technologies and tools
