Direction for Education is seeking dedicated and experienced Tutors to work across Halton and Merseyside. As a Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children by providing them with personalised educational support. If you have a passion for teaching and enjoy working one-on-one with students, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities of a Tutor:

Develop and implement individualised tutoring plans based on students' needs

*

Support students with various special needs

*

Work locally in children's homes, libraries and children's centres, providing at least 2 hours of tuition to each student per day.

*

Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to identify areas for improvement

*

Providing general Maths and (or) English tuition to primary and secondary aged pupils

*

Use effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning

*

Monitor student progress and adjust tutoring methods as necessary

*

Communicate with parents or guardians to provide updates on student performance

*

Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to support student success

Experience as a Tutor:

*

Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting

*

Knowledge of special education practices and strategies is a plus

*

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

*

Ability to effectively educate and explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner

*

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple students and assignments simultaneously

*

Previous tutoring or support experience is essential
