Treatment Design Lead (Contract)

Location: Predominantly Remote with occasional travel to London as required
Contract Length: 12 Months
Day Rate: Up to £600 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Full-time

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Treatment Design Lead to support the delivery of customer remediation and treatment design initiatives within a regulated financial services environment. This role will play a key part in identifying customer harm, designing effective remediation strategies, and ensuring customer-focused solutions are implemented with robust governance and risk controls.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, investigate complex issues, and develop evidence-based recommendations that deliver fair customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver remediation and customer treatment strategies aligned to regulatory and business requirements.
Investigate customer harm scenarios and conduct root cause analysis to determine appropriate treatment solutions.
Produce high-quality treatment papers and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Develop customer treatment frameworks, business rules, and customer journey designs.
Build scenario plans that assess risks and support effective remediation decision-making.
Ensure a "control by design" approach is embedded throughout remediation activities.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Operations, Change, and wider business functions.
Support the end-to-end delivery of remediation programmes and validate successful implementation.
Monitor feedback, testing outcomes, and assurance findings to continuously improve treatment strategies.
Ensure all remediation activities comply with regulatory requirements, governance standards, and internal controls.

Essential Experience

Strong treatment design, remediation, redress, or rectification experience within Financial Services.
Proven experience investigating complex issues and developing evidence-based solutions.
Experience writing treatment papers and producing recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Strong business analysis and problem-solving capability.
Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of financial services regulations and customer harm remediation.
Demonstrable experience implementing risk mitigation and control-by-design principles.

Desirable Experience

Motor Finance sector knowledge.
Agile delivery experience.
Understanding of data infrastructure and associated risks.
Experience designing future-state operating models and customer-focused processes.

Ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
Customer-focused mindset with a strong understanding of Consumer Duty principles.
