Description:
Due to continued expansion, our client is looking for a Transport Team Leader. Th role objectives are to oversee and facilitate the transport department's operations, ensuring timeliness, efficiency, and customer satisfaction while proactively addressing any issues that may arise. Your role is pivotal in upholding the quality and reliability of our transport services.
Monitoring the departures board on TMS to ensure timely departures and prompt communication of any delays.
Overseeing factory collections to ensure they are punctual, complete, and thoroughly communicated with our customers.
Collaborating with the fleet department to promptly address any vehicle defects and ensure follow-up actions are taken throughout the night.
Providing clear communication of inbound arrival times and maintaining awareness of trailer availability during the loading process.
Compiling comprehensive handover reports for the next shift, highlighting key points and outstanding issues.
Promptly escalating significant issues to Transport supervisors or management staff for timely resolution.
Candidate requirements:
CPC Qualification (Desirable).
3 years’ experience within the same or similar role.
Knowledge of EU Driver Hours and Regulations.
Experience managing employee relations issues such as conducting disciplinary hearings.
