Transport Supervisor NIGHTS (FMCG)
Contract 3-6 months
Tewkesbury
Up to£17.50ph + holidays + Potential extensions + 4 nights + weekly pay
RE RECRUTIMENT are looking for a transport supervisor on nights for a temporary 3-6 month contract. The company are a well established family business with sustainable growth over the last 20 years and are the chosen company for fresh products.
The role will involve either supporting or leading a night transport office shift to ensure smooth running of the night operation of their fleet. The transport office coordinate the companies team of HGV / Tankers / Shunters and banksman, liaising with various departments across the business and clients.
Key Duties
*Route planning / ensuring paperwork is corre4ct and driver docs are in order
*Complete pre & post paperwork
*Supervise drivers on the night operations
The Role
* Responsible of the depot night function
*Utilising the “Pallet Calculator” to produce efficient and cost-effective utilisation of vehicle and driver resources
*Supervise night drivers
*Ensuring all customer paperwork is correct before drivers leave site
*Conduct fridges check monitoring
*Controlling drivers start times and vehicle exit times
The Person
*Possess a UK/EU Class 1, HGV driving licence, Drivers CPC and Digital Drivers Card
*Experience of working in a transport / logistics office previously
*Problem solver & organised
*Happy to work evenings
Working Hours
4 on 4 off =- 12 hours shifts
7pm – 7am – rotation basis including weekends / can be any 4 days of 6 day operation
