Transport Planner

Wild Recruitment have partnered up with haulage company based in Dunstable. We are supporting this great brand with their search for a Transport Planner. We are looking for someone who has previous experience with Artics and HIAB. The ideal candidate will have CPC qualification.

Position: Transport Planner

Hours: 9:00-17:00 Monday - Friday (due to nature of the business applicant will be expected to be contacted 24/7)

Salary: Up to £36,000 depending on experience

Duties of Transport

Ensure all orders received have a transport provider allocated, working in partnership with another transport planner.
Plan the route of deliveries.
Responsible for ensuring their fleet of vehicles are booked for scheduled servicing and maintenance.
Rota planning including holiday and sickness cover
Complete driver debriefs
Arrange 3rd party carriers when required.
Provide exceptional customer service and be able to communicate well on all levels

The ideal candidate for this role must

Experience of route planner
Great knowledge of WTD, Road Transport regulation, geographical knowledge of UK road network
A confident Excel user
CPC qualification preferable
Ability to work under own initiative and well under pressure
