Position: Transport Planner
Location: Corringham
Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 18:00 (Some flexibility may be required)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their strong and reputable team. Our client was founded over 15 years ago and has swiftly become an industry-leading logistics company.
This role will suit an experienced Transport Planner with solid knowledge and proven experience in Container planning. Our client wants a forward-thinking and enthusiastic team player to join their expanding team.
Your key responsibilities as a Transport Planner:
Routing and scheduling vehicles to optimise fleet utilisation
Booking VBS slots
Arranging the release, collection and delivery of containers
Proven knowledge of geographical routes and driver regulations in the UK
Dispatching and debriefing drivers
Solid WTD knowledge
Hands-on coordination of emergency response and resolution of road incidents
Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost effectively
Completing all administration tasks and dealing with infringements, so good attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy of information
Maintaining company policies and proceduresRequirements:
