Role: Transport Planner

Location: St Helens .

Salary : £25,000 to £35,000 Base Salary plus company bonus scheme. OTE £30k - £40k

The role:

This is a new role created due to growth of the business. We are growing our existing footprint and moving into new markets of car buying, this requires scaling our team of committed drivers, vehicle appraisers and contractors.

Supported by the wider logistics and customer services team you will be working to ensure that our daily collection of customer cars (households) are routed for maximum efficiency and value return, ensuring our full process is adhered to , utilising our full technology stack to help you achieve this.

You’ll be joining an expanding team who work incredibly hard and are passionate about establishing our brand…. who also know how to have a laugh!

Key duties include;

· Booking in deliveries and collections

· Planning collections / deliveries and routing driver jobs.

· Communicating with the drivers, suppliers and customers on a daily basis.

· Subcontracting work and ensuring that all paperwork is kept up to date.

· Tracking financial performance and profitability – reporting KPI’s and improving efficiencies.

· Ensuring that all drivers have all the necessary information to carry out their duties.

· New driver process including licence checks, equipment order, policy issue etc…

· General administration duties supporting the fast growth of a new business.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong UK geographical knowledge, previous experience of working within a busy transport department and all-round strong administrator experience.

The role will be office based, Mon-Fri with remote working weekend cover on a rotational basis.

Essential Requirements:

* Honest, loyal, driven and committed to excellence.

* Friendly and approachable attitude.

* Analytical mind-set with a logical approach to work and commitment to the highest standards.

* 2years office administration experience or customer service experience.

* 1 year transport planning / driver management experience (responsible for 20+ drivers / engineers)

* Skilled in MS Office, particularly Excel.

* Experienced with custom based IT systems and apps.

Desirable:

* Previous experience in motor trade or online car buying / auctions would be a distinct advantage

* Interest in cars and vehicles
