Transport Planner

NN1 Personnel is looking for an enthusiastic Transport Planner for our client based in Northampton to work closely with the senior transport planner to ensure the smooth operation of their fleet.
What we are looking for:
* Minimum 2 years of experience general haulage and Multi drop planning
* A strategic thinker who can juggle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
* Excellent communication skills to liaise with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Strong problem-solving skills to tackle any challenges that arise in the transportation process.
About the role:
* Salary £25,000 - £30,00 DOE
* Monday to Friday
* 07:00 - 17:30 Plus on call
* Responsible for finding backloads on haulage platforms
* Plan and coordinate transportation routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
* Monitor vehicle tracking systems to track the progress of deliveries and address any issues.
* Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and support throughout their routes.
* Liaise with clients to address any transportation-related concerns or special requirements.
* Analyse transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency measures.
