A terrific opportunity has arisen for a Transport Operations Assistant to join the team at the Widnes depot of this nationwide concern. Thriving industry to be involved in with excellent career prospects.
As Transport Operations Assistant you will be responsible for setting up new contracts, arranging deliveries and collections and planning the routes. The role will liaise with customers and drivers daily and reroute vehicles, when required, to resolve issues. The role will be responsible for keeping the management system up to date by inputting all data in a timely manner and undertaking general office duties as required.
The successful candidate will ideally have worked within a fast-paced transport office and have undertaken planning or routing vehicles (not essential). They will have excellent IT (particularly Excel), communication (written and oral) and inter-personal skills. They will be able to work in a team, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
Starting salary of around £27-28,000 p.a. Monday - Friday - Apply today
