Transport Co-ordinator
BJS Haulage are growing and diversifying and now we have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Co-ordinator to join our busy team. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to support the Transport Team and Operations Manager in a range of administrative activities and assist with the day-to-day operation of a busy and diverse Transport Department.
Monday to Friday Hours to be confirmed, Days.
Tasks include:
* Briefing and de-briefing HGV Drivers when they arrive at the Transport Desk
* Assisting drivers with job information and troubleshooting problems, escalating to the Transport Manager & Operations Manager if required
* Providing administrative support to the Transport Team & Operations Manager
* Generating and sending correspondence via email
* General administration duties such as filling, completing forms etc.
* Use of in-house systems and google sheets to input, collate and produce reports
Attributes required:
* A strong working knowledge of Office based IT including Outlook, Word and Excel
* Strong written, numerical, and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail
* Able to work within a team and individually
* Adaptability and resilience in a pressurised environment
* Excellent Customer service skills
* Good work ethic
* Previous experience in the Transport Industry would be an advantage
