Role summary:

This role proactively manages the fleet compliance in line with our operators’ licence Undertakings, current legislation and in adherence of DX Policy & Procedures.

To support DX operations with technical expertise and knowledge ensuring compliance levels at depot level are achieved and maintained.

To sustain an effective management process, daily across all fleet and driver compliance within the depot(s) in-line with current DX Policy & Procedures

Ensuring equipment is maintained to a legal standard and in-line with current DX Policy & Procedures.

Will manage onboarding of PAYE, Agency drivers and Subcontractors.

Will work closely with all management levels across the business, including external contractors

Will play an active role in building efficiencies and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

* Responsible for managing the fleet compliance for the depot(s).

* Managing vehicle service planning in line with company policy

* Ensure all fleet compliance checks and inspections are carried out on time and in line with company policy including driver pre-use / post-use checks and defecting are maintained effectively

* Carryout driver licence checks for PAYE/Agency and sub-contractor drivers in line with company policy.

* Complete sub-contractor reviews

* Produce relevant reporting and management information to increase efficiency, business improvement and customer satisfaction

Essential criteria for this role

* CPC Manager (National / International) Qualification – May consider direct transport managers experience if currently unqualified

* Specialist in driver and vehicle legislation

* Transport compliance background/experience
