Description:
Major Logistics are currently recruiting a Transport Clerk for a client based in Halifax.
Pay Rate:
£12.00 per hour Duties:
Completing all daily tasks for compliance purposes
Inputting of daily run sheets onto spreadsheets and web-based programmes
Filing of Transport related documentation
Complete daily, weekly reports/communications as and when required
Briefing drivers at the end of every shift, communicating planned requirements providing information on performance, company news and procedures
Update AVA with safety conversations/hazards/near miss/accident information
Ensuring drivers comply with Health and Safety regulations
Ensuring the department complies with the Road Traffic Act
Escalate all incidents / accidents accordingly
Ensure effective and timely reporting of all vehicle defects including accidents/incidents and liaison with External 3rd party breakdown / recovery agents.
Monitor all vehicle / trip progress and re plan deliveries and collections as required. Provide effective and timely communication with planning team.Hours:
Part time role
Standard hours of 11:00 - 17:00
Monday to FridayRequirements:
Previous Transport experience would be desirable
Previous experience working within an office environment is essential
Experience using Microsoft Office applications
