Position: Transport AdministratorLocation: Hedge End
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
Salary: up to £30,000 (DEO)
Our client is seeking an experienced Transport Administrator to join their already strong and reputable team in the Southampton area.
This is an exciting period of growth for our client and the Transport Administrator will need to be forward-thinking, enthusiastic and willing to share their ideas with the team.
Your key responsibilities as Transport Administrator:
Dispatching and debriefing drivers
Providing excellent customer service by phone and email whilst liaising with drivers, colleagues and customers
Booking VBS slots
Liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure the operation runs smoothly and cost effectively
Completing all administration tasks and keeping accurate records
Complete all necessary documentation for collections and deliveries - both electronically and in paper form
Accurately coordinate the transport operation to ensure that all deliveries are made on time and any demurrage is captured on internal systems
Ensuring drivers hand in correctly completed and signed paperwork in a timely fashion
Maintaining company policies and proceduresRequirements:
Previous transport administrative experience
Knowledge of VBS booking system an advantage
Meticulous attention to detail
The ability to work well in a fast paced environment
Excellent customer service
Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workload
Good communication skills and able to speak to all levels of people
