Transition English Teacher

Location: Dunstable

Salary: Paid to scale or above

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to become a Transition Teacher for EOTAS.

Role of a Transition English Teacher:

Developing personalised transition plans for students, in collaboration with students, parents, caregivers, and relevant stakeholders.
Providing individualised academic support and guidance to help students bridge any learning gaps and prepare for their next educational or career steps.
Offering emotional and social support to students, helping them build resilience, confidence, and self-esteem.
Facilitating workshops, group sessions, or one-on-one meetings to address specific transition-related topics, such as study skills, career exploration, and goal setting.
Liaising with schools, colleges, employers, and community organisations to create seamless transitions and access additional resources or support services for students.
Monitoring and evaluating the progress of students, adjusting transition plans as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
Conducting personalised English lessons tailored to the individual learning styles and needs of SEN children.
Creating engaging and accessible teaching materials that accommodate diverse learning abilities.
Implementing innovative teaching strategies to enhance understanding and retention of scientific concepts.
Providing continuous support, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to boost confidence and self-esteem.
Collaborating with parents, caregivers, and educational specialists to develop effective learning plans for each student.Qualifications for a Transition English Teacher:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Previous experience working with at-risk youth, vulnerable populations, or students with diverse needs.
Strong understanding of educational transitions and the challenges faced by students in transition.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build rapport, trust, and positive relationships with students, families, and external partners.
