Interim Transformation and Change Programme Manager
Location: Leeds
Rate: £30.10 per hour (umbrella)
Contract: Interim
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Interim Transformation and Change Programme Manager to join a Council’s transformation, change, and programme management function. This senior role requires an individual with extensive experience in driving and delivering change within a large multifunctional public service organisation. You will play a critical role in aligning our transformation programmes with the Council’s priorities and ensuring their successful implementation and closure.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert guidance and leadership to the Council's transformation and change programmes.
Drive the Council’s transformation and change agenda, ensuring alignment with the Council’s strategic priorities.
Work closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to facilitate effective business change.
Contribute to the successful implementation and closure of major change programmes across the Council.
Report directly to the Head of Transformation and Change PMO.
Manage the performance of project teams, ensuring efficient allocation and utilisation of resources and skills.
Exercise extensive autonomy in decision-making within your area of responsibility.
Essential Experience and Skills:
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the duties and responsibilities underpinning the Council’s Transformation Programme.
Proven ability to initiate and manage programmes and projects through to completion, including the development and introduction of new initiatives.
Strong skills in inclusive planning, risk management, and establishing clear end points with measurable outcomes.
Proficiency in business analysis, including business process reviews, programme and project management, business change planning, implementation, and management.
Experience operating at a senior management level within a large multifunctional public service organisation.
Demonstrable experience in driving and delivering change, facilitating work groups, and managing complex projects.
