Role: Production Engineer - Transfer Press Machines
Location: Mildenhall
Hours: 40 - 45 per week
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum
Our client is seeking a talented individual to join our team and take charge of our cutting-edge Transfer Press Machine and associated equipment. As part of their team, you'll play a pivotal role in increasing and maintaining the output of this revolutionary machinery, which operates 24/7.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a production environment, preferably with 24/7 or shift-based work.
Proficiency in using various tool room and workshop machinery.
Familiarity with Transfer Press Machines is essential.
Strong mechanical aptitude to diagnose faults related to tooling wear and component quality.
Self-discipline and motivation to work both independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with personnel at all levels.
Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards. Overview: The Production Engineer will be instrumental in overseeing the operation of our state-of-the-art Transfer Press Machine, which is set to produce 700,000 components per week. This role offers opportunities for growth as the company expand and acquire additional equipment.
Responsibilities Include:
Collaborating with the Department Head to optimise product output on the Transfer Press Machine.
Participating in the procurement process for additional Transfer Press Machines and equipment.
Identifying and suggesting process improvements and cost-saving measures.
Assisting in machine operation to ensure uninterrupted production.
Training new and existing staff on machine operation and maintenance.
Diagnosing and repairing faults on the Transfer Press Machine and associated equipment.
Providing support to team members and service engineers as needed.
Fulfilling any other duties associated with the Transfer Press Machine.
