Description:

We’re currently recruiting for a Trainer to join our client’s internal Learning & Development team. This is a varied role, with responsibility for designing and delivering sector-specific training to employees and key stakeholders across the organisation. You’ll work closely with operational and service-delivery teams to ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to support people experiencing homelessness and other vulnerabilities. Salary up to £35,000. What makes this role particularly interesting is that it’s not purely classroom-based. You’ll have the opportunity to identify training needs, develop new learning programmes and help shape the organisation’s wider training offering.

 Key responsibilities

 You’ll be responsible for:

Scoping, designing and delivering engaging training to a range of audiences.

Identifying training needs and opportunities across the organisation.

Developing new learning content and continually improving existing training.

Exploring potential external training partnerships and working with relevant organisations.

Working closely with operational and service-delivery teams to understand their requirements.

Ensuring training remains relevant and reflects changing organisational and service needs.

Bringing creativity and innovation to the way training is delivered.

 What are they looking for?

A relevant social-care qualification at SVQ Level 3 or above.

A recognised training qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.

Previous experience within the care, social-care or charity sector.

Experience developing and delivering training to different audiences.

Experience identifying training needs and creating appropriate learning materials.

Knowledge of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and the wider social-care environment.

Strong communication and practical problem-solving skills.

A creative and innovative approach to training, with the ability to adapt to changing organisational priorities.

 The opportunity

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Trainer to join an organisation where the training they deliver has a direct impact on the quality of support provided to people across its services. If you’re interested in finding out more about the role, please get in touch and we’d be happy to discuss the opportunity in more detail
