Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative at Longmoor Camp, Liss, Hampshire.

As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.

We are looking for someone who either has previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training Estate or someone who is keen to learn new skills and bring an enthusiastic willingness to learn, Landmarc will provide full training for the successful applicant.

This is a full time Position based on 37 hours per week, Working flexibly over 7 days on an extended bandwidth (outside core hours)

Hours of work - 37 per week

Days of work - Mon- Sunday

Main ResponsibilitiesRange control Duties; Use of warning systems including training control offices, flags and lights.

Report and deal with unauthorised persons on the Training Area Estate.

Direct, support and assist training estate users both civilian and military.

Hand over and take back of the Facilities, ensuring they are fit for use.

Grounds maintenance of the training facilities.

Preventative and Reactive maintenance tasks.

Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment such as; ride on mowers, bush cutters (training will be provided).

Driving and operating fleet vehicles.

Carry out additional duties as required.

Flexibility to cover range complexes in Winchester and Oxford (vehicle provided).

Some weekend working will be required and days off in the week will be provided.

The Ideal CandidateKnowledge of Health & Safety, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Work in a diverse multi-tasking team environment.

Ability to operate plant and machinery.

Knowledge of 2 Way radio communication (desirable).

Prepared to undertake further training.

Computer literacy skills with ability to use Microsoft Software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Excellent communicator with people on all levels.

Must hold a Full Manual Valid UK driving licence.

Prepared to be security checked
