Trainee Transport Co-ordinator

An entry-level opportunity to learn transport planning and compliance while supporting the safe, efficient movement of freight. Full training and mentoring will be provided; previous transport experience is not essential.
What you’ll do
This is a great opportunity to begin a career in transport and logistics. With training and support, you will:
* Help coordinate the safe, efficient and timely movement of freight.
* Support job allocation, box movements and accurate record-keeping.
* Learn how to monitor drivers’ hours and comply with relevant legislation.
* Communicate with drivers, colleagues and other departments.
* Manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Help promote a strong health and safety culture.
What we’re looking for
Previous transport experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. We’re looking for someone who:
* Is organised, reliable and keen to learn.
* Communicates confidently and works well with others.
* Can manage several tasks and changing priorities.
* Has basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
* Takes a positive, safety-focused approach.
* Has an interest in developing a career in transport and logistics.
You’ll receive practical training and development reviews, with the opportunity to progress into a Transport Co-ordinator role
