Smart Teachers is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and caring individuals to join our Trainee Teaching Assistant programme, supporting primary schools across Barnet. This is an excellent opportunity for those with little or no previous school experience who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience and develop the skills needed for a successful career in education.

Working in a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools, you will support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 while receiving ongoing guidance and professional development from Smart Teachers.

The Role

Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
Work with small groups and individual pupils to support learning.
Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources.
Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

A genuine interest in working with children and young people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, proactive, and flexible approach.
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
