Trainee Sales Estimator
Doncaster DN5, NLW
Are you looking for an apprenticeship or trainee role? Our client is a local manufacturer and supplier of welded products, steel fabrications, laser cutting services and machined components. They are looking to recruit a social media savay administrator who can develop their sales skills as the Trainee Sales Estimator. All training will be given to the right person.
Trainee Sales Estimator, duties:
Complete sales quotations for new and existing clients received by email and phone.
Receive and interpret customers' requirements from CAD drawings and sketches.
Create accurate quotations based on raw material build up and calculations.
Researching, sourcing, negotiating, and obtaining quotes from suppliers.
Assist in the processing of sales/works orders into Production.
Business development by means of marketing and follow ups by email and phone.
Actively seeking out new sales opportunities whilst also working to improve conversion rates on enquiries to orders.
Attending site at times, including assist with surveying when required.
Actively assist in other areas of the business as and when necessary.
Trainee Sales Estimator experience (details listed are desired but not all essential): -
Some previous experience within a commercial role would be beneficial (ideally in a manufacturing, engineering industry and or Steel Fabrication but not essential).
Have the ability to read Engineering/ CAD drawings.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Social media / Marketing skills. (LinkedIn etc.)
A reasonable understanding of Maths.
The ability to prioritise tasks and adopt a flexible approach to working methods.
Ability to work alone as well as within a small team.
Hold a full UK driving licence.
