Trainee Recovery Worker
Harlow, Essex | Full Time

Peabody is seeking a compassionate and motivated Trainee Recovery Worker to support people living in specialist housing services who are working towards recovery from substance use.
This is a structured development opportunity, providing training and hands-on experience to help you progress into a qualified Recovery Worker role within 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
* Support customers with housing, health, finances and daily living.
* Encourage engagement with recovery and treatment services.
* Build positive, trusting relationships and motivate individuals to achieve their goals.
* Help develop person-centred recovery plans.
* Support case management alongside experienced Recovery Workers.
* Follow safeguarding and risk management procedures.
About You
* Passionate about supporting people to make positive changes.
* Strong communication and basic IT skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Resilient, empathetic and willing to learn.
* Experience supporting vulnerable people, transferable skills, or an interest in recovery services is desirable.

Important Information
* Full-time role working a 24/7 rota.
* Shifts include evenings, weekends, bank holidays and nights.
* Progression to Recovery Worker after 12 months, subject to successful completion of the traineeship.
