Trainee Projects Estimator / Surveyor - Facilities & Maintenance

Our client, a growing family-run facilities and maintenance company are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Projects Estimator/Surveyor to join their team.
Full training and guidance to help you develop your skills and progress your career. You could become a qualified Projects Estimator or even a Projects Coordinator, depending on your interests.
What you'll do:
Conduct site surveys and audits to gather information for project pricing and execution.
Prepare accurate reports and site audits using our systems and CRM.
Collaborate with our project managers, engineers, and directors to ensure projects are accurately assessed and measured for planning, pricing, and design.
Manage your own schedule and meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and client service level agreements (SLAs).
Gain knowledge of project risk levels to complete risk assessments and method statements.
Understand and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment on-site.
Conduct final site visits to verify completed projects meet all requirements.
Assist the project team with various tasks, both on-site and in the office.
Help identify and on board new suppliers and subcontractors, working with the project team.
Build relationships with clients, contractors, and vendors.
Who you are:
Ideally have A-levels or relevant trade qualifications.
Have experience in a trade role (advantageous) or a strong desire to learn estimating and surveying.
Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Understand site surveying equipment and reporting requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Access, PowerPoint).
Have strong mathematical skills and a keen eye for detail.
Possess a basic understanding of site plans and project operation and maintenance manuals.
Able to work independently and collaboratively.
Self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
Hold a valid driver's license.
