An exciting opening has arisen for an ambitious graduate who is looking for an opportunity to start their career in Investment management and train towards becoming an Investment Analyst.
The Burford Recruitment Company are working with a leader in Wealth Management, who work with high-net-worth individuals and companies across the UK. Due to their continued success, they are looking to appoint a Trainee Investment Analyst to join their Investment team based at their Henley-on-Thames office.
The role of Trainee Investment Analyst will be challenging and fast paced and will start with learning. You will be required to study or work towards the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) or other investment related qualifications, with the long-term goal of becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst. This role could be well suited to an Economics, Maths, Finance or Accounting graduate looking for their first step in the investment industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Analysis of investment opportunities
* Manage and update existing quantitative models and databases including stock selection models, risk management models and fund position databases
* Internal and external fund reporting across a range of investment team responsibilities including risk management, price checking, stress testing
* Compile factsheets monthly
* Monthly performance updates
* Money laundering form requests
* Fund invoices
Skills Required:
* Willingness to undertake study.
* Ability to manage own workload and work within a small team.
* Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Preferably a successful graduate that has studied a finance related subject such as Economics, Statistics, Maths, Finance, Business, or Accountancy
