THE BUSINESS

Our Client specialise in the design, development and manufacture of fabricated products nationwide across a range of industries. As mentioned they are rapidly growing. Due to this, a vacancy has arisen for a trainee fabricator.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the depot manager, you will be part of an effective team. You will be on a journey to become an experienced fabricator who will push the business to greater success. Some of your duties include:

You will have some basic fabricating or joinery expereince, or within education

You will be familiar with using hand tools such as routers, millers or drills

You will follow job sheets and technical drawings for the manufacture of goods

You will be able to carry out basic data entry on computer systems

You will support training and continuous improvements within the business

You will work in a safe manner, driving positive behaviour and leading by example regarding the company’s health and safety requirements

You will carry out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected

THE PERSON

The successful candidate will have a positive can-do attitude with a good work ethic. You will have personal drive to develop your career, be inquisitive, question and have a problem-solving mindset.

Applicants should be highly motivated with good communication skills and be able to work independently, or as part of a team.

Former experience of joinery or fabrication either practical or in education is a requirement for the role. You will however be given training to develop further skills.

You must have a “can do” attitude, be open to progression and be a team player

You will have a strong level of verbal and written communication skills

You must display a calm demeanour and be able to work under pressure

You must demonstrate the ability to organise, prioritise your work and problem solve

You will demonstrate a good eye for detail and be quick to learn new tasks
