Are you a junior professional eager to dive into the world of Quantity Surveying and Estimating? Join our client, one of the UK's leading Quantity Surveying and Estimating firms. They are looking for a full-time Trainee Estimator to work from their Northamptonshire office. The firm has grown rapidly over the past few years through innovation and customer service and they have got significant growth plans over the coming years.

hardworking, motivated and is looking to progress their professional career within an exciting
new role. The role is an office-based role, training will be provided and the main function will be to carry out take offs, bills of quantities, cost plans and tenders for our client base which includes contractors, sub-contractors, developers, and private clients.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Trainee Estimator once trained:

To set up Estimating Files upon receipt of enquiries, both electronically and paper
completing any further filing/addendums as they arise.
To complete and maintain archives.
Significantly interfaces with all supply chain members from both suppliers and
subcontractors on all aspects associated with tenders from enquiry to contract award.
To chase supplier, sub-contractor, and manufacturer quotations
To maintain enquiry quotation register per contract.
To complete estimating tasks independently
To answer incoming telephones, taking message or re-directing as appropriate.
To undertake any other general support and administration duties as will be required
from time to time.
To provide support and assistance to colleagues, and accounts team in peak Key experience and skills that would be beneficial for the Trainee Estimator:

A drive to progress and get into the world of estimating
High attention to detail and good computer literacy
Experience in a construction-based companyideal but not essential
Excellent communicator who is able to build and maintain excellent working relationships
Able to deal with tough negotiations and pressures of fast fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with clients and colleagues
