This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring Estimator to progress and thrive, whilst working on challenging projects.
Trainee Estimator - Duties:
- Working in various sectors independent schools, luxury bespoke private homes, university and college projects, hotels & leisure schemes.
- Help the estimators prepare thorough cost estimates by supporting their analysis and take-offs of project drawings, specifications, and other supporting documentation.
- Working directly with the Commercial Director to comprehend the needs and goals of the project with the pre-construction and project management teams.
- Assistance in finding and securing quotations for supplies, labour, and equipment from vendors and subcontractors.
- Assist in the creation of thorough cost breakdowns that account for manpower, supplies, machinery, and overhead while guaranteeing precision and budgetary adherence.
- Acquire knowledge of and apply top industry software and procedures under the supervision of knowledgeable estimators.
- Participate in the bid review meeting and assist with the formulation and delivery of estimates to senior management.
Trainee Estimator specification:
- The candidate must have a minimum of 1 years' experience in a Junior / Assistant Estimator Position.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, such as structural or civil engineering, construction or quantity surveying.
- The candidate should be eager to learn and motivated.
