We are currently looking for a motivated and hands-on trainee engineer to join a growing and supportive engineering team based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven trainee engineer to build a long-term career within the catering equipment industry, carrying out pre-planned maintenance on commercial ovens and bakery appliances.

As a trainee engineer, you will receive full training and ongoing support while learning to carry out pre-planned maintenance, inspections, and basic servicing on a wide range of catering and bakery equipment. This role is ideal for someone with transferable skills from electrical, mechanical, maintenance, or white goods backgrounds who is eager to develop into a skilled field-based engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out pre-planned maintenance on commercial ovens and bakery appliances

* Support senior engineers with scheduled servicing work

* Learn fault-finding and preventative maintenance techniques

* Complete service reports and maintenance documentation

* Deliver excellent customer service on-site

* Ensure all work is completed safely and professionally

Requirements:

* Keen interest in engineering or hands-on technical work

* Basic electrical or mechanical knowledge desirable

* Previous experience in maintenance, white goods, or a similar technical role beneficial

* Full UK driving licence

* Positive attitude and willingness to learn and progress as a trainee engineer
