Day Shifts - 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday (37 hrs per week)

£23K - £30K DOE

Full onsite and external training will be provided to enable the candidate to become proficient in the shortest period of time.

Days Monday to Friday: 8:30 - 4:30

Job Description: Trainee Electroplating and Anodising Technician

Operate anodising and electroplating equipment to create metal surfaces with protective and decorative coatings.
Jigging and un-jigging of anodised and plated parts.
Process parts through a tank sequence.
Calculate a parts surface area to determine process tank DC amperage and loading.
Identify and troubleshoot anodising and plating production line problems and make chemical additions to process tanks when necessary.
Periodically adjust, maintain, and clean process equipment, filters and tanks etc.

The Ideal Candidate: Trainee Electroplating and Anodising Technician

Ability to read, and work from engineering drawings
Experience of a workshop environment.
Previous experience of operating an Anodising and nickel/gold plating line an advantage.
Any coating experience is preferable but not essential. For example: heat treatment / powder coating / spraying / anodizing / electroplating
Ability to inspect and clean finished parts.
Excellent numeracy skills.
Have a good attention to detail.
A good level of fitness with the ability to stand most of the day and lift loads
