Description:
This is a trainee electrical installation tutor post for a qualified and experienced electrician.
No teaching experience is required for this post and full teacher training and support is provided.
Are you a fully qualified and time served electrician? Could you be interested in an electrical installation teaching position? I am currently working with a client that is looking for an Electrical Installation Tutor to teach apprentices the full course up to level 3 and teach various commercial short courses to adult learners. The role is based in Plymouth 3 days a week to teach the apprentice learners and the remaining 2 days could be in Exeter or Plymouth teaching short courses.
My client is willing to take on a qualified electrician with electrical installation industry experience and support them with teacher training. My client is a successful and well established provider specialising in electrical installation training and boasting excellent facilities.
Curriculum, facilities and lesson planning is provided. You will be using your knowledge and experience to present and demonstrate topics and will be encouraged to share your industry experiences to give real world industry context.

Essential experience and quali
- You must be a fully Qualified Electrician with either an NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent full recognised Apprenticeship.
- A minimum of 5 years working as an Electrician in industry.

This position involves teaching apprentice learners the full course up to level 3 in both workshop and classroom environments 2 days a week in Plymouth. 1 day a week is allocated to lesson planning. The remaining 2 days are teaching commercial short courses to adult learners at either the Plymouth or Exeter Centres. Curriculum, facilities and lesson planning is provided. You will be using your knowledge and experience to present and demonstrate topics and will be encouraged to share your industry experiences to give real world context.
