Activus Recruitment have an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Concrete Operative to join our clients established Civils and Construction firm, based in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.

As a Trainee Concrete Operative, you will work under the direction of experienced concrete mixing and pouring professionals to learn the skills necessary to operate specialized machinery and equipment and produce high-quality concrete for various construction projects.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation and mixing of concrete materials, including sand, water, cement, and aggregates
- Operate equipment such as mixers, pumps, and other machinery used in concrete production
- Learn how to measure and mix materials in order to achieve the desired consistency and strength of the concrete
- Observe experienced team members during the concrete pouring process and assist as needed
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
- Learn how to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks
- Participate in ongoing training and development to improve your knowledge and skills in concrete production and operation

Requirements:
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments and in all types of weather conditions
- Basic understanding of math and measurement principles
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and machinery

Training and Development:
This entry-level position offers extensive on-the-job training and development opportunities, including mentoring by experienced operators.
As you gain experience and develop your skills, you may have the opportunity to take on more responsibilities and advance in your career as a Concrete Operator.

A CSCS card is advantageous or candidates must be willing to carry out the CSCS training modules to complete the qualification.

A drivers licence is advantageous as travel to various sites may be required.
