JRS Associates Ltd has partnered with a leading engineering manufacturer to recruit a Trainee CNC Machinist to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin a career within engineering and CNC machining, with full training and development provided.
The successful candidate will be trained to set and operate CNC milling machines, working alongside experienced engineers within a modern manufacturing environment.
The Successful Trainee CNC Machinist will benefit from:
* Starting salary of £12.71 per hour
* Increase to £14.00 per hour after 6 months, subject to successful training and development
* 4 on / 4 off day shift

The Trainee CNC Machinist will be responsible for:
* Learning to set and operate CNC milling machines
* Loading and unloading components
* Learning how to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Carrying out basic quality checks
* Using measuring equipment
* Learning tooling and machine offsets
* Working alongside experienced CNC machinists
* Maintaining high standards of quality and safety
* Developing machining knowledge through structured training
The ideal Trainee CNC Machinist will have:
* A genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing
* A strong willingness to learn and develop
* Good attention to detail
* A reliable and positive attitude
* An interest in machinery and mechanical engineering
* Previous engineering, manufacturing, machine operating or college-based engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential
* The ability to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
Please note: The 4 on / 4 off shift runs continuously, meaning weekend working will be required when Saturdays and Sundays fall within the candidate’s four working days.
