Description:

Instastaff are currently recruiting for a Trainee CAD Engineer to join a company based in Aston on a permanent basis.

You must have a BTEC, NVQ or Apprenticeship qualification in either Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, CAD Engineering or Engineering Design.

The duties of the Trainee CAD Engineer will be:

Create and update 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models
Produce manufacturing and assembly drawings
Support engineering documentation and bills of materials (BOMs)
Assist with prototype builds and product testing activities
Support engineering change updates and drawing revisions
Liaise with suppliers regarding component drawings and manufactured parts
Assist with technical documentation, quotations, and tender submissions
Work closely with engineering, production, and purchasing teams
The ideal Trainee CAD Engineer will have:

Experience using 2D & 3D CAD software
Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Understanding of metals and plastics, CNC machining, sheet metal bending, welding, and casting
Experience with CAD software such as:
Hours of work for the Trainee CAD Engineer are Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm

Salary for the Trainee CAD Engineer is £25,000
