Trainee Broker

Description:

We are looking for a driven, confident and target-focused Trainee Broker to join our growing brokerage team in Central London.

This is a telephone-based sales and lead qualification position. You will be responsible for contacting prospective clients, building rapport, understanding their requirements and qualifying suitable opportunities before passing them to our Senior Brokers, who will manage the final stages of the sales process and close the business.

Key Responsibilities as a Trainee Broker

* Make high-volume outbound calls to prospective clients and existing leads.

* Engage prospects professionally and confidently over the telephone.

* Build rapport and establish strong relationships with potential clients.

* Ask effective questions to understand the prospect's needs, circumstances and level of interest.

* Qualify leads against the company's agreed criteria.

* Identify genuine sales opportunities and pass qualified leads to Senior Brokers.

* Book appointments and arrange call-backs for Senior Brokers where appropriate.

* Follow up with prospects to maximise conversion opportunities.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM.

* Meet and exceed daily, weekly and monthly call and lead-generation KPIs.

* Work closely with Senior Brokers to ensure a smooth handover of qualified opportunities.

What We're Looking For as a Trainee Broker

Essential:

* Minimum 1 year of telesales experience.

* Proven experience making outbound sales calls.

* Confident and professional telephone manner.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Comfortable working towards demanding sales targets and KPIs.

* Ability to handle objections and maintain control of a sales conversation.

* Highly motivated, ambitious and commercially minded.

Desirable:

* Previous experience within financial services, brokerage, investments, insurance, FX, property or another high-value sales environment.

* Experience using CRM systems.

* Previous lead-generation or appointment-setting experience.
