Assistant / Trainee Site Manager - high-end residential project - East London
Assistant or Trainee Site Manager required to add to the fantastic internals team on a large residential scheme in East London. As a Trainee /Assistant Site Manager (depending on your level) you will work closely with the Site Manager and PM and will be assisting in all day-to-day site activities, managing subcontractors, ensuring all paperwork is completed and filed correctly, etc. The role may suit a recent graduate with either construction management degree and some on-site experience or someone coming from carpentry / joinery background. It is important that desired candidate understands sequence of works, construction processes and procedures as well as is up to date with H&S and building regulations.
Responsibilities:
* To follow construction drawings and works information.
* Assisting a SSM and Fit out manager with day to day operations
* Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the specification programme.
* Effectively liaising with the client, consultants and internal team
* To be responsible for the accurate completion of site-based documentation
* Coordinating labour and resources on site to deliver the build programme, and to proactively schedule in trades to ensure timely delivery.
* Undertaking company directed quality control procedures and inspections.
Desired skills:
* Great interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills
* Excellent IT skills - ability to use various softwares
* High attention to detail, good team player
* Degree educated or looking for a step up with at least 1 year experience working on site.
* Previous experience working on residential projects preferred.
