We work for several clients as a Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractor across England. This Trainee role is an opportunity to earn whilst you learn, and opens a door to a long-term career. Duties for the role of Trainee Assistant S&T Installer/Technician:
As a Trainee, you will be required to undertake a range of courses within S&T. These courses are paid for by RSS Infrastructure, however they can be intense and you must be prepared to attend classes, as well as study independently. You will be paid whilst training as well as gaining practical experience working with an established team member or team
Upon successful completion of the courses, you will be an Assistant Installer/Technician for Signalling working on railway infrastructure
Working nights and weekend shifts, travelling, and possibly working away from home where required
Role requirements for the role of Trainee Assistant S&T Installer/Technician:
Ability to work nights and weekend shifts within Signalling
Car driver with ability to travel and potentially work away from home as and when necessary
Good level of written and oral English and able to effectively communicate with those around you
Keenness to learn a new skill and progress in to a long-term career within S&T
Ideally suited for some that hasn’t worked within rail, or worked within Rail within the past 2 years
Location
Whilst we work across the whole of England, a lot of our work is based around the Midlands, Wales and the South West. We welcome applicants from anywhere in the UK.
