We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Accountant to join our client's reputable practice. This is a full-time permanent position situated in Hertford. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to learn the accounting trade whilst growing alongside the business.
Job Title: Trainee Accountant
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 DOE
Location: Hertford
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8.30am-5:00pm

Key responsibilities (for first 6-12 months):
* General bookkeeping
* Bank reconciliations
* Financial data analysis
* Responding to emails and telephone calls
* Assisting Senior Accountant with projects
Once you become more confident and proficient, duties will involve;- preparation of company accounts, VAT & personal tax returns
The ideal candidate will:
* Be a graduate or at least part AAT qualified
* Experience with FreeAgent, Xero, Quickbooks preferable
* Must possess good organisational skills
* Good time management with ability to work to deadlines
* Experience with Excel
