Traffic Operator / Planner – Rugby – Back Shift

The company is a privately-owned business, part of the Ballyvesey Holdings Group that has grown significantly in recent years, now providing a diverse range of Logistics Services throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland
The successful candidate will liaise directly between Customers and the Traffic and Sales departments to ensure that enquiries and bookings are managed efficiently and effectively.
Montgomery Distribution are now recruiting for Traffic Operators to join their friendly team in Rugby.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Liaising with drivers within a busy environment
Ensure routes run on time
Report any issues to Management
Prioritise workload and assist routing and planning of vehicles to ensure all deliveries / collections meet customers' expectations.
The Person:
This role is ideally suited to an individual who has previous experience within a traffic department.
Essentially like any traffic-role the overall objective is to ensure that the customer receives a first-class service in a cost-effective way.
Experience in UK, Irish work would be advantageous.
Disciplined and methodical approach and able to keep up with changing priorities.
Demonstrate a keen eye for detail whilst working under pressure.
A demonstrable understanding of transport-related issues including drivers' hour’s regulations is essential.
Sound knowledge of the commercial aspects of operating a fleet.
