Traffic Operator (Days & Nights)
Location: London Gateway
Salary: Negotiable - No Salary Ceiling (DOE)
Are you an experienced Traffic Operator looking for a role where your experience is genuinely valued?
I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established transport and logistics business based at London Gateway that is expanding its operation and looking to appoint several experienced Traffic Operators with immediate effect.
Unlike many vacancies, this client isn't recruiting to a fixed salary budget. They're looking for the right people and are prepared to pay accordingly for the right experience.
Available Shifts
Night Traffic Operator - Monday to Friday, 22:00 - 08:00
Night Traffic Operator - Monday to Friday, 18:00 - 04:00
Traffic Operator - Monday to Friday, 04:00 - 14:00
Day Traffic Operator - Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 18:00 (plus one in four weekends on-call)For the night shift positions, you'll complete 1-2 weeks of paid training on days before moving onto your permanent shift.
The Role
Working within a busy container transport operation, you'll play a key part in ensuring vehicles, drivers and customer requirements are managed efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and coordinating daily transport movements
Managing driver schedules and route changes
Monitoring deliveries and collections
Communicating with customers, drivers and ports
Responding quickly to operational issues
Ensuring high levels of customer service throughout the day
What We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Traffic Operator or Transport Planner
Container transport experience is highly desirable
Strong communication and organisational skills
Able to work in a fast-paced transport environment
