CPCS Traffic Marshall – Gloucester (GL4)
We are currently recruiting an experienced CPCS Traffic Marshall for a long-term construction project in Gloucester (GL4).
Job Details:
* Location: Gloucester, GL4
* Start Date: 03/08/2026
* Duration: Ongoing long-term work
* Hours: 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday
* Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour (UTR)
Requirements:
* Valid CPCS Traffic Marshal ticket
* Good previous experience working as a Traffic Marshal on construction sites
* Strong awareness of site health & safety procedures
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
Traffic Marshal Duties
* Managing the safe movement of construction vehicles, delivery vehicles, plant and machinery entering and leaving the site.
* Directing vehicles safely around designated site traffic routes.
* Maintaining safe segregation between vehicles, construction plant, site operatives, visitors and pedestrians.
* Monitoring exclusion zones, pedestrian walkways, crossing points and restricted areas.
* Ensuring all access and egress routes remain clear, controlled and free from obstructions.
* Supporting the site logistics plan and following all traffic management procedures.
* Reporting unsafe vehicle movements, damaged barriers, blocked routes, near misses and other health and safety concerns.
* Ensuring emergency access routes are kept clear at all times.
* Carrying out general gateperson, vehicle control and site logistics duties when required.
* Following site-specific RAMS, risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
* Attending site inductions, daily briefings and toolbox talks.
* Complying with all site health and safety procedures and wearing the correct PPE at all times.
