Description:

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) and parking management.

Key Responsibilities:

Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs):
Prepare, draft, and implement TROs in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Conduct consultations with stakeholders, including local authorities, emergency services, and the public.
Analyse traffic data to support the need for TROs and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Parking Management:
Design and implement parking schemes, including residential parking zones, permit systems, and parking restrictions.
Conduct parking surveys and studies to identify issues and develop solutions.
Work with enforcement teams to ensure parking policies are adhered to and effectively communicated to the public.
Traffic Engineering and Design:
Develop traffic management plans, including road layout design, signage, and marking schemes.
Conduct traffic impact assessments for new developments and propose mitigation measures.
Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and other engineers to integrate traffic solutions with broader urban development projects.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Utilise traffic modelling software to predict traffic flow and analyse the impact of proposed changes.
Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented traffic measures and suggest improvements.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Engineering (PE) licence or equivalent certification preferred.
Experience in traffic engineering, with a focus on TROs and parking management.
Proficiency in traffic modelling software (e.g., VISSIM, SYNCHRO, or similar).
Strong knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and public consultations.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under deadlines.
