Trade Plate Driver (Self-Employed)

We are currently recruiting Trade Plate Drivers on a self-employed basis to join our growing team.

The Role

As a Trade Plate Driver, you will be responsible for the collection and delivery of new and used vehicles across the UK. Vehicle movements will include collections and deliveries from:

Main dealerships
Auction sites
Vehicle compounds
Hire and leasing companies
Commercial businesses
Private customers
This is a flexible role suited to drivers who are confident working independently and managing their own workload.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and managing daily vehicle movements efficiently
Carrying out thorough and accurate vehicle appraisals
Collecting and delivering vehicles safely and professionally
Providing excellent customer service at every stage
Completing vehicle handovers and obtaining customer sign-off
Managing all associated paperwork and documentation
Reporting any vehicle damage or defects accurately

Essential Requirements

✅ Must be 25 years of age or over

✅ Full UK Manual Driving Licence

✅ No more than 6 penalty points on your licence

✅ Strong communication and customer service skills

✅ Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule

Desirable Experience

Previous Trade Plate driving experience
Vehicle collection and delivery experience
Van driving experience
Vehicle assessor
