Shift Pattern: Day shift - 39 hours per week working 07.30 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday, and 07.30 to 12.30 on Fridays, with designated breaks

Location: Accrofab (Alcester) Limited B49 6EH

Opportunity Summary:

We currently have a vacancy within our Engineering Department for a Toolmaker focusing on Milling, Turning, Grinding, 3-axis CNC, Haas Programming. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience, seeking an opportunity to join a growing Organisation.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The manufacture of press tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to supplied drawings and/or technical instructions.
Conduct repair and maintenance of press tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
Assist Engineering in the New Product Introduction & Development Process related to tooling design and manufacture.
Understanding of and safe use of air tools and hand tools.
Support production machining activities when required.
Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
Complete operations efficiently in accordance with job card or technical instructions to achieve the required output levels.
Read and understand the requirements on the Job Card for the operation to be carried out.
Ensure that all the documentation required to carry out the operation in accordance with the Job Card is available at the point of use and at the correct revision.
Read and understand all manufacturing instructions prior to commencing an operation, this includes Machine and Tooling Set Up Packs as required, Engineering Drawings, Data Cards, Inspection Plans etc.
Person Specification:

Previous experience in Automotive / Aerospace & Defence as long as tool room experience is evidenced.
Build good working relationships always acting as a team player
Maintain high attention to detail and process adherence applying a right first-time mentality
Communicate effectively
Be reliable and dedicated
Manage workload and be organised, prioritising where necessary
Be conscious of, and adhere to housekeeping requirements
NVQ in machining
Has Software CNC programming.
