Position : Toolmaker
Sector : Engineering
Location : Sheffield
Hours : Monday to Thursday days only
Salary : £28,000 - £35,000
Due to internal promotion, new vacancy for a Toolmaker / Tooling Engineer to work with a very well established Sheffield manufacturer.
Ideally apprentice trained, you will ideally have some experience of Toolmaking / Tooling repair. Press tool experience is preferred, but any toolmaking / tool repair experience will be considered.
The role is varied but will include :
Manufacture of new tooling
Repair and service of tools for production
Preventative maintenance on tooling including all aspects of machining and bench fitting, i.e. grinding, turning milling etc
Utilisation of precision / optical measuring equipment to maintain tooling to produce parts to drawing tolerance
Testing tooling prior to release
Assisting manufacturing & production with tooling issues
Replace pilots, probe pins, springs, designing and making special fixtures to fit to toolsWant to work a 4 day week, days only in Sheffield ?
