Description:
We are currently recruiting for a permanent Tool Technician for a client based in Pembrokeshire.
Salary: £30k
Hours Monday to Thursday 7:30 to 16:30
Friday 7:30 to 12:30
Essential Job Functions/ Responsibilities
* Maintenance, repair, set-up and continual development of all punch tools, jigs, fixtures, toolset equipment and some plant services.
* Work with and liaise with production operators to ensure tool issues are resolved and proactive approach to ensure efficiencies are maintained.
* Tool setups, maintenance repairs and problem resolution to all punch tools, jigs and fixture equipment.
* Development and completion of planned maintenance schedules.
* Involvement in the installation of tooling in all press machine, CNC machines and training on new equipment.
* Maintain documentary records relevant to all aspects of the job.
* Continually develop and improve process machinery performance and working practices within the scope of engineering.
* Change tooling size and setup to meet production schedule.
* Where required to work in close liaison with production operators.
* To act in a safe manner and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the permit to work scheme.
* Liaise with external suppliers.
* Internal tool and jig / fixture manufacturing.
